Time for another post on a favourite musical group of mine.

Phantogram is an electronic rock duo consisting of Sarah Barthel and Josh Carter from Sarasota Springs, NY. I don’t really know how to describe them other than they’re fucking AMAZING. Here’s their first music video for “Mouthful of Diamonds” from their debut album “Eyelid Movies”: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZvSgLHWR16o

Another great song of theirs to check out is “When I’m Small“.

Fever Ray & The Knife

Upon searching for new artists, I have stumbled across the amazing talent of The Knife, as well as Fever Ray. The Knife are a Swedish electro-pop brother/sister duo by the names of Karin Dreijer Andersson and Olof Dreijer. You can read more about them on Wikipedia. I highly recommend checking out their video for ‘Pass This On’ on Youtube. The male vocalist in the video isn’t really singing. His name is Rickard Engfors and from what I’ve gathered he’s a fairly, if not very, popular drag queen/performer in Sweden.

Fever Ray is the side project of Karin Dreijer Andersson. The sound is very similar, as might be expected, to The Knife. The quality of her music videos are like those of The Knife. Take a gander at my favorite song of hers, ‘When I Grow Up’; it’s on Youtube. The female in this video is Marianne Schröder. She appears to be a model from what I’ve gathered on Google Images.
